Abot Tala will sharing a table with its homeschool provider partner, Gopala Learning Haven at the Exhibit Hall of the Philippine Homeschool Convention happening this Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the SMX Convention Center at SM Aura in Taguig.
This year’s convention theme “On Fire!”, draws its inspiration from the quotation commonly attributed to the poet William Yeats, but is said to originate from Greek biographer and essayist Plutarch’s original words that say, “The mind is not a vessel to be filled but a fire to be kindled.” This is absolutely what Abot Tala believes in so we are so excited to be part of this event. Laksmi Maluya, founder of Gopala Learning Haven and Board of Trustee member of Abot Tala, is one of the speakers at the convention. She’ll be talking about the different routes of homeschooling. Since she has been through it all as a second-generation homeschooler, she will share the pros, cons, hows, and whys of the different routes to take. She’ll be at Function Hall 2 from 4:30-5:30pm.
